SHELLY WHITE

An only child born to parents who were both musicians, Shelly began playing piano at age two. After being discovered by a television talent scout at age seven, she was then a regular, playing and singing on National Television. She was ‘a natural’ and loved to perform.

Eager to further her career, Shelly studied classical piano and voice, gaining her A.Mus A Diploma in her early teens. This has proven to be the foundation of her unique musical style. Her shows include the great classics of Beethoven, Mozart and Chopin right through to today’s current hits, plus some originals. Hear favourites by Winifred Atwell, Billy Joel, Liberace, Peter Allen, Kylie Minogue, as well as her sensational tribute to the “Music from the Movies”. Combine this with her unique ability to perform your favourites in her “requests” segment, and you’ve got an outstanding entertainment experience.

Dubbed the ‘Girl from Oz’ while performing with legendary entertainer Mickey Rooney, Shelly has thrilled audiences worldwide, and is always in demand in Australia on the club concert and corporate market. Michael Crawford was delighted to have Shelly on his show….. “She was absolutely wonderful”.

Shelly and her husband, Musical Director Les Woodford are a formidable team. An extremely talented musician in his own right, Les directs the band from the drums. “We strive for excellence and ensure we tailor each show to that particular audience or corporate event.”

Shelly has worked internationally for all major cruise lines, and toured extensively. “It would be hard to categorise my style. I love so many different types of music, and I think that diversity comes through in my performances,” as does her love of performing. “I enjoy every moment I’m on stage… it’s great.” And her audiences certainly agree… always wanting more.
